And the doctor saidYesterday at my first doctor appointment I got my first ultrasound and got to see my 5.9 cm bundle of joy. Although I won’t be able to feel it for another few months, I could see baby moving its little stubby arms and legs. The arm movement looked like it was waving and Freddy and me. The doctor didn’t use a doppler, so we didn’t hear the heartbeat, but we could actually SEE the heartbeat on the ultrasound.
Anyone who has ever been pregnant (or a guy whose wife/girlfriend has been pregnant) can relate to how Freddy and I are feeling right now. If you have never been expecting a baby, I will tell you right now that the first time you see that little wriggling blob and see/hear the heartbeat, it will be one of the most joyous moments of you entire life!
Here where I post my art, you know me as BlobOfGoo. But the “blob” growing inside of me is the greatest artwork of all, a colab with me, my husband, and God.
